Dear Brothers,

Greetings from Zeta Beta Tau – Alpha Kappa! This letter marks the first of many steps we are taking in an attempt to reconnect with our alumni from every generation. In just a few short years, ZBT at Wisconsin has grown from a small group of brothers, dedicated to reestablishing our fraternity, into a thriving collection of young men, poised to reclaim our role as the premiere historically Jewish fraternity on campus.

The past couple of years have been particularly fruitful for ZBT-AK, as we have rapidly transformed into one of the most desirable Greek houses on campus. We have won both Greek Week and Homecoming, started a weekly fraternity basketball league, sustained the highest fraternity GPA each of the past six semesters, maintained a steady diet of brotherhood and social events, and increased our membership to a previously unimaginable level. Additionally, we have moved into one of the largest and most beautiful houses on campus, prominently located on Langdon Street.

With every aspect of our fraternity program constantly progressing, we are excited to regularly share the details of our accomplishments and challenges with you, our alumni. It is our hope that you will enjoy learning more about the state of ZBT in 2008 and choose to reconnect with our special brotherhood. To that end, we are starting a quarterly newsletter to be distributed to alumni and parents, with articles written by ZBT brothers. We also want to hear from you about what you would be interested in learning from our newsletter. Send your article ideas and other suggestions to Jake Harris at harris3@wisc.edu.

Help Us Connect You

As time passes, it becomes harder and harder to locate brothers who have graduated. If you have any contact information whatsoever for another brother, please pass that along to us. Also, in order to maximize the potential impact of our newsletter, we are asking you to update your own contact information (particularly e-mail and street address), if you think there is a chance we do not have current data for you. Please e-mail this information to Jake Harris at harris3@wisc.edu.

Alumni Weekend

Finally, we would like to invite you to our first-ever ZBT Alumni Weekend. It will be held in conjunction with UW Homecoming, the weekend of October 24-26, 2008. The fraternity will host activities Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as a large pre-game barbecue before the Wisconsin football game Saturday morning. More details will be forthcoming and we hope to see you here! As always, please feel free to stop by our beautiful new house at 233 Langdon St. any time you are in Madison. We would love to visit with you!
